Give the supplier the circuit boundary
Identify the mineral source, sampling point, solids information and recycled-water conditions. State upstream additions and the actual thickener limitation. Overflow reuse, solids capture and underflow handling may need to be improved together; settling speed alone cannot define the purchase.
Keep measured values distinguishable from estimates. A sample collected from a clear side stream should not be treated as representative of the main feed without explaining the limitation.
Compare usable product at the required endpoint
Request coded candidates with their own preparation instructions. Record water, concentration, mixing and elapsed hydration alongside dose units. If the stock is inconsistent, investigate preparation before interpreting higher consumption as a product-selection result.
Observe liquid quality and bed behavior at defined times, then assess a promising code through the real transfer and separator. Mineral-separation guidance from SNF considers feed and equipment conditions; that is a reason for circuit-specific screening rather than a universal grade promise.
Connect the accepted trial with supply
Retain the selected code, accepted feed conditions and commercial-product consumption. Check the usable solution volume implied by the production schedule. A successful cylinder test does not establish that the installed make-down system can meet continuous demand.
Provide quantity, receiving destination and package-handling limits in the quotation request. Review anionic product requirements and trial-to-supply handover before approving a commercial delivery. If another code is offered, identify it as a new proposal requiring review.
Keep these purchase records
| Decision | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|
| Process scope | Feed source, water reuse and upstream additions identify the circuit being qualified. |
| Acceptance | Overflow and underflow meet stated requirements at a recorded commercial-product dose. |
| Order identity | Sample, production code, preparation demand and receiving constraints stay connected. |
