Capture the changing slurry
Include mineral type, approximate particle-size distribution, solids concentration and water chemistry. Recycled water may behave differently from fresh water used in an initial laboratory test. Tell the supplier about upstream reagents and any expected seasonal or ore-related changes.
Measure both sides of the separator
Record settling behaviour and overflow clarity, then inspect the underflow for pumping or filtration problems. A large loose floc can look promising in a cylinder while giving poor solids handling downstream. Include transfer and mixing conditions in a plant comparison.
Choose a candidate set rather than a promise
Discuss anionic PAM and, where warranted by testing, nonionic PAM. Neither family name establishes the correct molecular profile or dose. Ask for samples identified by code and retain the method used to compare them.
Prepare the commercial brief
Include throughput, operating hours, trial consumption, delivery destination and receiving constraints. Review packaging choices against warehouse handling, and compare quotations using the same accepted treatment endpoint.
